FAQs

Q - Are bills included?

A - No, bills are not included. You will be responsible for your water, electricity and council tax bills in addition to your rent. Complimentary WiFi with speeds of up to 50 Mbps is available to residents. Higher-speed packages may be available directly through the provider at an additional cost. As Wifi is provided as a complimentary service, availability and performance cannot be guaranteed.

Q - How much is parking?

A – An allocated parking space in the undercroft car park is £75 per month.

Q - Do we accept pets?

A - Yes, pets are welcome. Approval is subject to our pet policy, the type and number of pets, and suitability of the apartment.

Q - Can I book an apartment for the next academic year?

A – We have a limited number of apartments available for students. Subject to availability, we can accommodate bookings up to two months in advance of your move-in date.

Q - Are there any application fees?

A - No, we do not charge application fees for individual tenancies. Fees may be applied for corporate tenancies. We do require a £150 reservation fee, which will be deducted from your first month's rent upon successful completion of the referencing process.

Q – How does the Flatfair Deposit scheme work?

A –Instead of paying a traditional deposit, you agree to cover the cost of any damages to the apartment or any outstanding rent at the end of your tenancy. The Flatfair Deposit Scheme is available to applicants who meet the required referencing criteria. You will enter into an agreement with Flatfair and pay an upfront membership fee equivalent to 28% of one month's rent plus VAT, divided equally between all tenants. When your tenancy ends, any end-of-tenancy charges are handled quickly and fairly.

For more information, please visit www.flatfair.co.uk

Q – If I don’t want to use the Flatfair Deposit scheme, how much deposit do I have to pay?

A –You can choose to pay a traditional tenancy deposit equivalent to five weeks' rent. This will be protected with MyDeposits, a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme.

Q – Are the apartments furnished or unfurnished?

A – Apartments are available in either furnished or unfurnished layouts. When reserving an apartment, please refer to the floor plan description to identify whether the apartment is furnished or unfurnished. Furnished apartments include beds, a sofa, a dining table, dining chairs and a media unit. Please note that TVs, bed linen and kitchen utensils are not provided.

Q – What kind of apartments are there to choose from?

A – All apartments feature an open-plan kitchen and living area with Elka hard flooring throughout. Our one-bedroom apartments include one bathroom, while our two-bedroom apartments include an en-suite shower room and a separate bathroom. Apartments feature either the "Classic" black-and-white kitchen or the contemporary "Greystoke" kitchen.
